Rice & Beans

Red Beans & Rice, Pea Soup, Arroz con Pollo, Greek Beans, these are some of our favourite foods that come to mind in this section. We have lots of packaged bulk rice & beans including many different varieties of lentils and a good assortment of organic choices too. Eden makes a vast line of organic tinned beans with no additives like salt or sugar and there's no soaking required! Their can liners are BPA free too. We have some wonderful basmati rices from the USA & India in organic and conventional. Making risotto? We've got arborio rice for that. Rice pudding more your thing? We've got sticky (short) rices in brown or white for that!

Ah, the aroma that lures us out of bed in the morning or keeps us awake late at night while we work, Coffee. There's really nothing like it. We carry a wonderful line of Organic & Fair Trade Coffee, The Ultimate Bean,  that is locally roasted and delicious! Their decaf beans are swiss water decaffeinated, no chemicals used. It comes in bean form but we have a grinder right in store. If you'd prefer it pre-ground, we have a couple of pre-ground varieties too.

Alternatively, if you're looking to get off the pot (coffee pot that is), try these delightful options: Teeccino makes several flavours of ground-bean coffee substitutes and is made of chicory, dandelion, carob, barley and several other ingredients depending on the flavours: Vanilla Nut, Hazelnut, Java, Mocha and so many more. For a smaller store, we carry a lot of bread! Gluten Free, Wheat Free, Sourdough & Yeast Free, Egg Free, Soy Free, Sugar Free, Sprouted Grains, we've got it all!

Most of our Gluten Free breads come frozen and are stocked in our freezer and include breads, buns, hotdog & hamburger buns, bagels, pizza crusts, wraps, muffins, cinnamon buns and more. 

Our fresh breads are delivered on Wednesday and include Grainfields (mainly wheat free & sourdough breads & buns), Thornbury (gluten free), Inewa (wheat free & organic) and sometimes a few occasionals like Stickling's and VegeHut.

They are all soft and fresh and delish so come try some and you'll be hooked.
