INGREDIENTS
- 1/2 cup butter
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1 3/4 cups soft whole wheat flour
- 1/2 cup rolled oats
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 2 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
- 1 cup chopped raisins
- 1 cup chopped walnuts
- 1 1/2 finely chopped apples
METHOD
- Preheat the oven to 350 deg.
- Cream butter with the sugar. Beat in the eggs very well.
- Combine all the remaining ingredients and stir into the creamed mixture.
- Drop by teaspoons onto an oiled baking sheet and bake 12 to 15 minutes, or until done.
- Cool on a wire rack.
Yield: 3 to 4 doz. cookies.
